4 Indicted in Drug Case; Cocaine, Cash Are Seized
Four people have been indicted on federal drug charges after authorities eavesdropped on a cellphone drug deal and later confiscated 77 pounds of cocaine and $1.4 million in cash.
The suspects were indicted Thursday in U.S. District Court in Fresno on drug possession and distribution charges.
Gerardo Vargas Galicia, 37, Sergio Reynol Padilla, 39, his sister Lorena Perez, 37, all of Merced, and Gilbert Franklin, 31, of Los Banos were arrested between Feb. 13 and Feb. 15.
The arrests were announced by Drug Enforcement Administration and the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement officials.
