Wedding couple, two others shot
The bride, groom and two others were shot at an outdoor wedding in rural Pope County on Saturday. Guests chased the suspect into a restaurant parking lot, and he was arrested, Sheriff’s Lt. Aaron DuVall said.
No one else was hurt.
About 50 people were at the wedding, along Piney Creek north of Dover, about 65 miles northwest of Little Rock.
The suspect, Patrick Paul Duvall, 29, “was not associated with the wedding at all,” said Lt. DuVall (no relation to the suspect). “No one knew him.”
The bride, groom and a third victim remained hospitalized Sunday, and the fourth was treated and released, said DuVall, who wouldn’t identify them.
