From Times Wire Reports

Three former Duke University lacrosse players falsely accused of rape can pursue a civil lawsuit against the disgraced Durham County prosecutor who led the case against them, a federal bankruptcy judge ruled in Raleigh. The judge lifted a stay that had protected former Dist. Atty. Mike Nifong, who pursued rape charges against the three players in 2006. State prosecutors declared the players not guilty last year. Nifong was disbarred and spent a night in jail.
