Man accused of rapes, 2nd slaying
A Stanton man in jail on suspicion of three rapes and a special circumstances murder has been charged with two additional rapes and a second murder, officials said Thursday.
Waymour Livingston, 24, is scheduled for arraignment June 26 on the new charges involving the alleged rape of a woman in his car in 2006, another rape in a Fullerton hotel room last year and the Sept. 5, 2007, slaying of Mary Jane Clark, who was suffocated with a pillow in a Costa Mesa hotel room.
Prosecutors say Livingston was linked to the new crimes through DNA.
He has been held without bail since 2007 in connection with the 2005 rape of a woman in an Anaheim parking lot and the rape, two years later, of a motel housekeeper in Stanton and a private masseuse in a Costa Mesa motel room.
Livingston is also charged with the Sept. 9, 2007, murder of 21-year-old Sacramento resident Melissa Ann Gonzalez in an Anaheim motel room.
If convicted in the murder cases, he could face the death penalty.
