AT BOSTON

Time: 3 p.m.

On the air: FSC.

Where: Harvard Stadium, Cambridge, Mass.

Records: Sol 11-3-5, Breakers 7-8-4.

Record vs. Breakers: 0-1-1.

Update: The inaugural regular season of Women’s Professional Soccer comes to a conclusion today for the Sol, which would prefer it to end on a winning note after the disappointment of last Sunday’s 3-1 loss at the Chicago Red Stars. That was the only two-goal loss of the year for Coach Abner Rogers’ team. The Sol is winless in its last three games but has clinched a place in the WPS final at the Home Depot Center on Aug. 22. Boston has to win today to secure a playoff spot. If it ties, it will only make the playoffs if the Washington Freedom loses against Sky Blue FC. Four Sol players, goalkeeper Karina LeBlanc, midfielders Shannon Boxx and Aya Miyama, and forward Marta, will start in the WPS All-Star game on Aug. 30. Midfielder Camille Abily also was voted onto the team but will miss the game, as well as the Aug. 22 championship match, because she is with the French national team. The WPS All-Stars will play Swedish league champion Umea IK, in the All-Star match in Fenton, Mo.
