Big money and bigger hypocrisy

Re: “Boeing launches campaign to save C-17 cargo plane,” Aug. 21:

Lawmakers jumping to the defense of government projects in their districts is one of thousands of instances where politician hypocrisy is demonstrated -- particularly conservatives who holler about big government, big taxes and deficits.

We also know what politicians (and also the media) dare not mention: It’s not just politicians who are venal and hypocrites, but the wonderful American people too.
