Padres rally to win 10th game in a row

Chase Headley hit a two-run home run in the 10th inning and San Diego rallied from a six-run deficit to win its 10th consecutive game, beating Arizona, 9-7, Monday.

The Padres, who ended a road losing streak at 11 games, trailed, 7-1, through seven innings but scored five runs in the eighth, one in the ninth and two in the 10th.

Padres catcher Nick Hundley and Manager Bud Black weren’t around to watch the finish. They were thrown out by plate umpire Eric Cooper in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Henry Blanco, who replaced Hundley, led off the 10th with his second single, and Headley hit a pitch from Tony Pena (4-2) off a sign above the swimming pool in right-center field.

Drew Macias had a three-run double in the eighth inning for the Padres.
