Registered sex offender allegedly followed, filmed young girls
A registered sex offender has been arrested on suspicion of following and filming young girls in the Santa Clarita area, officials said Thursday.
Yale Yurman, 70, was identified with the help of loss prevention workers at a Target store on Magic Mountain Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Detectives served a search warrant Wednesday at Yurman’s home, said Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Dubin. Authorities seized evidence allegedly showing that Yurman had trailed girls in several instances, including at a Wal-mart and a church in Valencia, according to the sheriff’s department.
Yurman posted bond for $150,000 and has been released from custody, Dubin said.
