American foods that are banned in other countries

If you travel to another country, you might notice that there are a surprising amount of American foods there. American fast food companies like McDonald’s and Burger King are all over the planet, as are many American snack foods like cereals and soda. However, there are a few things missing from the shelves. You won’t find M&M’s in some countries, for instance. And you’d be hard pressed to find a Mountain Dew or Sunkist anywhere in Europe. There are some ingredients that, while acceptable in America, have been banned in other countries. Here are the foods that are illegal in other countries and why.
