OK, it’s time to get down and dirty for a playoff run. Much like the real NFL, the two-thirds of the season are basically a weeding out of the weaker squads. Now the cream rises to the top -- and we need to start thinking about the future. With that in mind, here are some pickups not only for this week, but with an eye on the playoff weeks, so we can all have our best lineups out there when it counts. -- Matthew Wood

Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings

Percy Harvin calls himself a “long shot” to play Sunday against Detroit. I have been searching the Minnesota roster trying to find someone other than Michael Jenkins who actually has a chance to catch a pass, and I tell ya, I don’t know if there is anybody else. Jerome Simpson? Doubtful. Devin Aromashodu? Not bloody likely. Allen Reisner??? Get outta here. That leaves Rudolph, who has been criminally underused, IMHO. They now have no choice, and I think he gets some looks this week.
