Bengals punter Kevin Huber’s Twitter avatar shows jaw-breaking hit
Cincinnati Bengals punter Kevin Huber probably will be known as the guy who got his jaw broken and a vertebra cracked on national TV from here on out.
The cool thing about Huber is he seems fine with that.
On Monday afternoon — less than 24 hours after Terence Garvin of the Pittsburgh Steelers ended Huber’s season with one of the most brutal hits most of us will ever see in a football game — the Cincinnati native changed his Twitter avatar to a photo of that devastating play.
And now by popular demand.. I have found a pic worthy of my new avatar! Enjoy everyone — Kevin Huber (@khuber10) December 17, 2013
It’s great that Huber has a sense of humor about it now because it certainly wasn’t funny at the time.
After getting blindsided by Garvin while trying to make a tackle on Pittsburgh’s Antonio Brown, Huber lay motionless on the turf for several minutes before walking off the field with a bloody mouth.
But now he’s on the road to recovery and able to laugh about it all — which says a lot about the guy because that sounds pretty painful.
