Watch Shamarko Thomas face-plant while running a 40-yard dash
Shamarko Thomas ran really fast during his first 40-yard dash at the NFL scouting combine, so fast that apparently his top half couldn’t keep up with his bottom half and he face-planted.
It’s too bad because Thomas, a strong safety from Syracuse, finished with an unofficial time of 4.38 on that attempt.
Thomas may be wiping turf off of his face, but he surely isn’t blotting away any tears.
He notched an official time of 4.42, the fastest of all safeties, according to Yahoo.
Thomas, who is 5-foot-9 and 213 pounds, is the seventh-ranked strong safety on the NFL Draft Scout’s board.
At least coaches can now be sure that he’ll put his heart -- and his face -- into everything he does.
