Kyle Busch continued his mastery of Auto Club Speedway in a NASCAR Nationwide Series car by winning the Royal Purple 300 on Saturday.

Busch, who drives for Joe Gibbs Racing, held off Sam Hornish Jr. for his sixth win in the last eight Nationwide races at the two-mile Fontana track. Busch led 92 of the race’s 150 laps.

Busch has won three of the five races this season in NASCAR’s second-level series. He also won last week in Bristol, Tenn., and three weeks ago in Phoenix.

Hornish finished second, Regan Smith was third and Parker Kligerman finished fourth. Austin Dillon and rookie Kyle Larson rounded out the top six.

Busch mainly drives in NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup Series but also occasionally drives in the Nationwide Series in his No. 54 Toyota.

“It’s awesome, great home game for us,” Busch said after his win, referring to Toyota’s U.S. headquarters in Torrance.
