Bermuda is having a Pink Sale at some of its top hotels. The “pink” isn’t for Valentine’s Day, but for the pale shade of its sandy beaches. The islands are usually a winter draw for East Coasters (especially with this year’s freezing weather), but anyone can cash in on rooms that cost as little as $105 a night.

The deal: Eight hotels are participating in the Pink Sale that takes up to half off the hotel’s best available rates.

--Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa
--Elbow Beach Bermuda
--Fairmont Southampton
--Grotto Bay Beach Resort
--Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa
--Rosewood Tucker’s Point Resort
--Rosedon Hotel Bermuda
--The Royal Palms

[For the record, 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28: An earlier version of this post reported that the Fairmont Hamilton Princess was participating in the Pink Sale. A spokesman for Bermuda’s Department of Tourism on Tuesday said via email that the Hamilton Princess is no longer participating.]

When: You must reserve by Feb. 6 for stays from Feb. 4 through April 30.

Tested: Each hotel has different minimum stays, so check before you reserve.

The Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort and Spa requires a four-night minimum to score sale rates for deluxe and one-bedroom suites. I found availability from Feb. 14 to 18 for $177.50 per night, excluding taxes and fees. In my online check, the rate held for four-night stays during the month of February. The best available rate on the same nights was $257.

I also found availability at the Fairmont Southampton from Feb. 9 to 12 for $149 a night excluding tax and fees (Valentine’s Day weekend wasn’t available). The deal required a two-night stay to get the 50% discount. However, there are several blackout dates. The best available rate on the same nights was $299.

I also checked Grotto Bay Beach Resort, which has a three-night minimum. I found availability for $105 a night, excluding tax and fees, from Feb. 14 to 18 for a room with a patio overlooking the water. The standard rate on the same nights was $209.
