City National Corporation reported former Los Angeles deputy mayor Linda Griego has been elected to its board of directors. Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP announced Robert Cooper will be named the 2006 Antitrust Lawyer of the Year. Integrien Corporation made three appointments to its senior staff. Azteca America named a director of sales for New York.

City National Corporation (NYSE:CYN) today announced former Los Angeles deputy mayor Linda Griego has been elected to the boards of directors of both the corporation and its subsidiary, City National Bank. As president and chief executive officer of Griego Enterprises, Inc., Griego runs a business management company that oversees Engine Co. No. 28, a prominent Los Angeles restaurant that she founded in 1988 after spearheading the renovation of a historic downtown firehouse. She also owns Oso Ranch and Lodge in New Mexico, and has begun to develop television programming for the Latino market.

Los Angeles-based Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP announced Robert E. Cooper will be named the 2006 Antitrust Lawyer of the Year by the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Section of the State Bar of California. The award will be given at the Antitrust Lawyer of the Year Award Dinner, which will conclude the section’s 16th Annual Golden State Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law Institute. The event is being held today at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles.

Irvine-based Integrien Corporation appointed Steve Henning to vice president of sales engineering, Thomas P. Murphy to vice president of professional services and Edward Forker to senior vice president of worldwide sales.

In his new role, Henning will work with Integrien’s sales engineering team to craft specific solutions for new and existing customers. In addition, Henning will facilitate communication between Integrien’s sales force and engineering. Prior to joining Integrien, Henning served as the manager of integrated identity management solutions at IBM, where he was responsible for directing all product management for IBM Tivoli’s Security portfolio.

Murphy will expand and focus Integrien’s internal professional services capability, grow Integrien’s partnerships with consulting firms that have deep business domain knowledge in SAP, J2EE, Oracle, Tivoli, Citrix and other Integrien technical strengths, and drive a positive customer experience via training and support. Prior to joining Integrien, Murphy served as a director in the global services organization at Mercury Interactive, where he managed domestic and international engineering support teams.

Forker will leverage his sales and management experience to continue growing Integrien’s customer base and extending the company’s footprint within existing customers. Prior to joining Integrien, Forker was the senior vice president of worldwide sales at SMARTS, now part of EMC.

Los Angles-based Azteca America announced the appointment of Angelica Bengolea as vice president, director of sales for New York. Based in Azteca’s new Park Avenue office, Bengolea is responsible for all sales and business development of the Northeast region, overseeing a staff of four account directors and two sales planners. Prior to Azteca, Bengolea was account manager for national sales with the Univision Television Group.
