Paramount exec Andrew Gumpert closes in on a sale in Tarzana

It appears Paramount Pictures Chief Operating Officer Andrew Gumpert is close to crossing off one item on his list of new year’s resolutions: a home sale.

Gumpert’s Tarzana home, which spent most of the year wavering on and off the market, is now listed as sale pending, according to the Multiple Listing Service. It’s currently listed at $2.575 million.

Located in the Mulholland Park enclave, the Mediterranean-style home is framed by a pair of towering palms. A two-story foyer with dual staircases kicks off the floor plan, which offers five bedrooms and seven bathrooms across 6,399 square feet.

Tile-lined living spaces include a two-story living room, formal dining room, center-island kitchen, breakfast nook, office and family room with a fireplace and wet bar. From there, doors open to a covered dining area.

An elevator leads upstairs, where the bedrooms and a loft are lined with hardwood. The master suite comes with a sitting room and fireplace.

A balcony overlooks the backyard, where a flagstone patio holds a swimming pool, grill, built-in seating, fire pit and fountain in the corner. Hedges and landscaping surround the space.

Out front, a pair of two-car garages face each other in the motor court.

Jo Ann Oster of Rodeo Realty holds the listing.

Before joining Paramount in early 2017, Gumpert spent 12 years with Sony Pictures Entertainment, where he handled production negotiations for films such as “The Social Network,” “Superbad” and “Casino Royale.”

Should it sell for the asking price, Gumpert will take a loss on the property. Records show he bought it in 2006 for $2.75 million.
