Known for his hard-hitting play on the gridiron, NFL All-Pro Dashon Goldson is now trying his hand at a new position: landlord. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety has listed a condominium in Marina del Rey for rent at $3,995 a month.

The condo, found within the Cove high-rise, has a one-bedroom floor plan with 1,142 square feet of living space. A generous walk-in closet and an updated kitchen with a breakfast bar and stainless steel appliances are among its interior features.

Building amenities at the Cove includes 24-hour security, a fitness center, a pool and spa, a barbecue patio bar and a recreation lounge with a catering kitchen, conference room and library.

A native of Carson, Goldson, 29, was selected by San Francisco in the fourth round of the 2007 draft and spent his first six seasons with the 49ers. He signed a five-year, $41.25-million contract with the Buccaneers last off-season.

Goldson paid $575,000 for the condo unit in May 2013. Records show that the defensive back owns a number of properties in the Marina del Rey area. Panos Papadopoulos of Hermes International Estates & Realty is the listing agent.
