Johnny Rotten puts Malibu retreat up for sale at nearly $2 million
Johnny Rotten of Sex Pistols fame and his wife, German publishing heiress Nora Forster, have listed their place in Malibu at $1.995 million.
Set behind gates on a private street and surrounded by lush landscaping, the ocean view house sits above the beach.
The 2,528 square feet of living space include a skylighted living room, an office, a rec room, four bedrooms and three bathrooms. This is not a staged property but a lived-in, laid-back second home.
The third-of-an-acre property features a swimming pool with a waterfall and spa, a cabana/gym and a bar. Peach, lemon, orange and fig trees complete the grounds. There is a two-car garage plus spots for four more vehicles, reported Curbed L.A., which broke the news of the listing.
Tuscan-inspired in Pacific Palisades
The punk-rock pioneer, 57, was the lead singer of the band in the late 1970s and during several revivals. They drew attention for expletive-filled lyrics that seem almost tame today.
More recently, the singer-songwriter -- who uses his real name John Lydon -- is lead vocalist with Public Image Ltd. They release “This is Pil” last year.
He bought the property in 1990 for $1.2 million, public records show.
Irene Dazzan-Palmer and Sandro Dazzan of Coldwell Banker are the listing agents.
