Matt Leinart, the former Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback and Southern California football star, has called an audible on his Manhattan Beach home, listing the three-story residence for sale at $2.059 million.

Nestled among a crowd of beach dwellings, the home, built in 1971, sports an open floor plan with hardwood flooring, an updated kitchen and a wrap-around deck with views of the coastline. A bedroom suite and living room area are found on each level, and a great room with fireplace is on the top floor.

Spiral staircases on the interior and exterior of the home run to each story of the home. A small turf yard sits under an awning on the ground level.

The former USC Trojans star, 31, has played six seasons in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans and Oakland Raiders. He was briefly with the Buffalo Bills during training camp last year and is currently a free agent.

Leinart paid $1.45 million for the property in January 2012, according to public records. In addition to the Manhattan Beach house, he also owns a larger, 2,750-square-foot home in Huntington Beach. Jack Cummings of Shorewood Realtors is the listing agent.
