NFL All-Pro linebacker Nick Barnett has yet to land a new team this offseason, but he has managed to find a new home. The free agent recently paid $1.9 million for a 6,050-square-foot house in Southern California.

Found alone on a hilltop cul-de-sac in Carlsbad, the half-acre estate enjoys sweeping views of the La Costa Golf Course and the Pacific Ocean. A long drive leads up to the gated compound, which has a motorcourt, a gazebo, and a pool and spa.

The two-story floor plan has six bedrooms and six baths, including a downstairs guest suite with a private entrance. A sun room, a gym and a game room are among its features. A rooftop solar system supplies power to the heated pool and home.

A native of Barstow, Barnett, 32, appeared in 15 games for the Washington Redskins last season. He was originally drafted in the first round of the 2003 draft by the Green Bay Packers, where he played eight seasons and won a Super Bowl (2011).

Steven Lincoln of Lincoln Realty Group was the listing agent. Stacy Price of Ron Michael Properties in Santa Monica represented Barnett in the sale.
