Actress Shiri Appleby gets top dollar for charming West Hollywood home

Share

Shiri Appleby of “Roswell” and “UnREAL” fame has sold her home in West Hollywood for $1.855 million. That’s $60,000 over the asking price and about $1.2 million more than what the English-style cottage went for more than a decade ago, records show.

Remodeled during Appleby’s ownership, the gated 1920s house has a classic look with broad shutters, a brick-lined driveway and a tapering gable roof.

Entered through an artful wooden front door, the 1,600 square feet of interiors feature a living room with a gray-hued wall fireplace and a modern fixture. A wooden breakfast booth and an updated chef’s kitchen with a recessed ceiling and custom cabinetry sit off the living area.

The master suite has concrete floors, a glass-enclosed shower and walls of windows that take in the grounds, and another bedroom has a lofted area. Across the grounds is a vine-wrapped pool house with another bedroom suite for a total of three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Outdoors, tall privacy hedges provide cover for a Saltillo-tiled patio and a swimming pool.

The house came to market in April for $1.795 million and closed sale in about two months. Sam Plouchart of The Agency represented both ends of the transaction.
