Stage and film actress Stockard Channing is taking this show out of Hollywood Hills West

Stage and screen star Stockard Channing, who is on the current series “The Good Wife” and “The Mysteries of Laura,” has listed a Hollywood Hills West home for sale at $1.895 million.

If that price seems modest for a veteran actress of her stature, property records peg this as an investment house. The single-story house, built in 1950, has been leased out on and off during her ownership in the range of $4,000 to $6,000 a month.

Set on more than half an acre, the secluded home has canyon and hillside vistas. Windows above built-in corner seating in the spacious living room frame treetop views.

The nearly 2,200 square feet of white-walled living space also includes a dining room, a breakfast area, a wide kitchen that opens to terrace space, two red-brick fireplaces, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are covered and open-air patios.

Channing, 72, gained fame in the 1978 film “Grease” and won a Tony in 1985 for the revival of “A Day in the Life of Joe Egg.” She played the first lady in the series “The West Wing” (1999-2006), for which she won an Emmy. Channing won another for the 2002 TV movie “The Matthew Shepard Story.” Her film work includes “Six Degrees of Separation” (1993) and “Practical Magic” (1998).

She bought the property in 2003 for $1.075 million, public records show.
