Apple to launch smartwatch with multiple designs, fitness sensors

Apple is planning to launch a line of computerized wristwatches with multiple designs and different screen sizes in October, the Wall Street Journal reported Friday, citing unnamed sources.

According to the Journal, the watch will contain more than 10 sensors to work with health, fitness and other apps; Apple plans to ship between 10 to 15 million of them by the end of 2014.

Other smartwatches and wrist devices have already been released by several companies, including Samsung, Sony and Google.
