Samsung Galaxy S IV to feature eye-controlled text scrolling
The Galaxy S IV, the flagship Samsung smartphone that is expected to be unveiled next week, reportedly will have a feature that will scroll text based on a user’s eye movements.
The feature, expected to be called “Eye Scroll,” follows a user’s eye movements to determine when to scroll. For example, when the user’s eyes get to the bottom of a page, the phone would scrolls an article up to reveal more paragraphs.
The New York Times reported the feature, citing an unnamed Samsung employee. The report says Samsung has filed for trademarks similar to Eye Scroll in the U.S. and Europe.

The report says Eye Scroll is an example of Samsung putting more importance on the Galaxy S IV’s software, not its hardware, to set the device ahead of its peers.
Besides software, the smartphone is expected to have a nearly 5-inch screen with full 1080p HD resolution.
It’s anticipated that the Galaxy S IV will be unveiled on March 14, during a 4 p.m. PDT event in New York that can be watched live on YouTube.
