Virgin Mobile to begin carrying iPhone 5 next week

Share

The iPhone 5 will be available to Virgin Mobile customers with a $35 pre-paid plan starting on June 28.

The popular Apple smartphone will go on sale starting at $550 in-store for the 16-gigabyte model. Users looking for more storage can head to Virgin Mobile’s online store, where they can get the 32-gigabyte model for $650 or the 64-gigabyte model for $750.

Virgin Mobile customers will be able to pair the iPhone 5 with the $35 plan, which includes unlimited texting and data, but they can bring the price down by $5 if they sign up to have their plans automatically pay the carrier each month.

The iPhone 5 launched last September, and is available from all major U.S. carriers. However, not all pre-paid carriers support it yet.

Besides Virgin Mobile, users looking for pre-paid carriers for the iPhone 5 can turn to T-Mobile, AT&T, Cricket Wireless and Wal-Mart’s Straight Talk.
