Actor-composer-artist Michael Toland and his wife, Stephanie, have sold a 1921 Mediterranean in the Los Feliz area for $2.5 million.

The couple restored the five-bedroom, 6 1/2 -bathroom, 5,995-square-foot home “back to its original beauty,” Toland said, “and added all the modern stuff,” such as marble bathrooms and a gourmet kitchen.

The home was designed on a grand scale with extra large living and dining rooms for entertaining, he said, “and we sure did a lot of that.” The Tolands purchased the property for $1,385,000 in 2003.

Toland has extensive television credits, including guest appearances on “Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service” (2009), “Ghost Whisperer” (2007) and “Without a Trace” (2005) and is currently shooting an independent movie.

The TV and film composer is also a fine artist. Toland left his mark by painting an antique Mediterranean map at the entrance to the rumpus room of the two-story estate. “We loved that place.”

The pair hasn’t moved far. “We found a great midcentury place in the hills overlooking Lake Hollywood that we will be calling home for awhile,” he said.

David Rosen of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills East, had the listing. Patricia Ruben of Sotheby’s International Realty, Los Feliz, represented the buyer.
