Bernadette Peters is bringing her solo show to both Costa Mesa and Northridge. Peters is a favorite of Stephen Sondheim; her Broadway credits include "Sunday in the Park with George," "Into the Woods," "Follies" and "A Little Night Music." 8 p.m. Oct. 11, Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall; 8 p.m. Oct 19, Valley Performing Arts Center.
Patti Lupone, a sometimes partner on stage of Patinkin's, will be in Santa Monica next month with sassy pianist and Broadway maven Seth Rudetsky in tow. Their two performances launch a new Broadway series for the Broad Stage. Expect playful give-and-take between Rudetsky and Lupone, plus her powerhouse vocals. 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Oct. 19, Broad Stage.
