First work of fantasy for One Book, One Chicago

Neil Gaiman’s “Neverwhere,” will be the 20th book for the Chicago Public Library’s ongoing One Book, One Chicago program, Mayor Richard M. Daley announced this morning at the Harold Washington Library.

“Neverwhere” is the first fantasy chosen for the city-wide read. Gaiman is best known as the author of young adult novels such as “The Graveyard Book” and “Coraline” and adult fantasy such as “American Gods.”
