CBS led its network rivals in the ratings Wednesday night with the help of “Survivor,” “Criminal Minds” and the season finale of “CSI.”

All three shows gained viewers from last week, according to early numbers from Nielsen. “CSI” ended its 14th season with a total of 9.9 million people total tuning in Wednesday, along with a rating of 1.9 among key 18- to 49-year-olds.

Among those advertiser-coveted young adults, “CSI” was up 12% compared with last week’s episode, though it was down slightly from last year’s finale. In total viewership, “CSI” was up 4% compared with the Season 13 closer.

On average, CBS won the night with a 2.2 in 18-49 and 10 million viewers overall, driven partly by “Survivor” and “Criminal Minds,” which both gained a tenth of a point from last week to a 2.4 and a 2.3, respectively.

Fox was No. 2 with “American Idol,” which fell 6% to a 1.7 in 18-49.

NBC’s entire lineup fell double-digit percentages, starting with “Revolution” (down 15% to a 1.1) and continuing with “Law & Order: SVU” and “Chicago P.D.”

ABC’s comedies “The Middle” and “Suburgatory” hit series lows, while “Modern Family” remained Wednesday’s top-rated show in 18-49, with a 2.8. “Mixology” and “Nashville” were both flat week-to-week.
