Drew Barrymore won’t tell you how to live your life -- she’s too busy

Drew Barrymore is no lifestyle guru, and she’s the first one to admit it.

The “Blended” actress has been dabbling in non-acting gigs for years -- she’s started her own cosmetics line and fragrance collection, has written a book, branded her own wine, is the editor-at-large for trend hub Refinery29 and serves behind the camera as a film and TV producer via Flower Films.

However, the former wild child doesn’t see her diversified resume as reason enough to start her own lifestyle brand in the manner of Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow. The latest A-listers to also dub themselves tastemakers include actresses Blake Lively and Reese Witherspoon and talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres.

But she’s not like them, she recently told E! News’ Marc Malkin.

“Lifestyle seems to me, ‘I’m really good at a lot of things. Let me show you how to do them,’” the 39-year-old said. “I don’t feel like I’m that at all.”

The “E.T.” alum, who welcomed second daughter Frankie in April, said she doesn’t think she would “succeed at lifestyle.” Instead, she said she considers her projects “a curation” that allows her to spend more time with her two kids.

“I’m interested in a lot of things and I want to make wine and I love beauty. I’ve been in a makeup chair my whole life so I love doing a makeup line. And it’s more conducive to my life than movies right now, which I’ll do few and far between or I’m not going to see my children. I can’t accept that for myself right now. It’s not an option.”

But that doesn’t mean we won’t be seeing her on the big screen again: Barrymore is filming “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke’s dramedy “Miss You Already” with Toni Colette, Dominic Cooper and Jacqueline Bisset.
