What were a former Hollywood bachelor and his human rights attorney bride missing in their lives? A baby? No. Another pup? Yes! George Clooney and his wife, Amal, are now the proud parents of a shelter dog named Millie.

The actor-producer and his wife of one year adopted the pup from the San Gabriel Valley Humane Society, according to a Wednesday post on the animal shelter's Facebook page.

"ADOPTED! Millie was adopted by George Clooney and his wife Amal!! Millie, a basset hound, now has a new brother named Louie who is also a rescue! Congratulations and thank you for adopting!!" said the post, which included Clooney holding Millie and his wife kneeling for their informal family portrait.

Millie, a 4-year-old basset hound mix with "adorable googly eyes, pretty long ears and shorty legs," joined the couple's other dog Louie, according to the humane society's website. She was originally found without a home and "hoping for food scraps outside of a local restaurant" in San Gabriel earlier this month.

The do-gooders, who stepped out together for the premiere of Clooney's latest film "Our Brand is Crisis," have adopted shelter animals in the past and came across Millie's picture on Petfinder, the shelter said.

"They did a 'meet and greet' with her and spent time introducing her to their other rescue, a cocker spaniel named Louie," the site said. "It was good news that Millie and Louie hit it off and the happy, new family headed home together! We hope Millie will stay in touch and send photos."

Photos that no doubt might be taken by the dog-arazzi.
