Jennifer Lawrence, ‘Mockingjay’ ladies dazzle at L.A. premiere

Katniss is taking over the Capitol, one Dior gown at a time: Jennifer Lawrence stepped out in another confection from the French fashion house for the Los Angeles premiere of “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1.”

The 24-year-old Oscar winner, who plays the reluctant symbol of rebellion in the third of the four-film franchise, walked the glossy runway-like procession at L.A. Live on Monday in the haute couture dress and gold strappy Aquazurra heels.

Her midi-length silver jacquard dress was a shortened incarnation of the marquee number from Dior’s fall 2014 show. The silk frock was a last-minute choice, according to Perez Hilton; however, Lawrence’s camp did not immediately confirm that report.

The Dior spokeswoman launched her latest fresh-faced ads for the fashion house last week, toting the signature Miss Dior handbags for the spring 2015 campaign.

Lawrence’s costars, who’ve also been bringing their A-game during the glamorous global press tour, shined in a bevy of high-end designer togs:

Elizabeth Banks’ “Hunger Games” alter-ego Effie Trinket is always frocked in some over-the top costume, and Banks has been taking a few cues, donning colorful creations. This time it was a structured paisley gown from Leonard’s fall 2014 collection that showed quite a bit of leg. The actress completed the look with metallic Roger Vivier pumps.

Julianne Moore glitzed things up in a shimmering beaded Tom Ford dress, though she stuck with black again. Not a surprise, given that her character is President Alma Coin, the mysterious leader behind the District 13 rebellion.

Natalie Dormer wore a cutout gown by Rochas that could have easily been a gown Margaery Tyrell would have approved of. The “Game of Thrones” actress plays documentarian Cressida in “Mockingjay” and has since grown back the hair shaved off the side of her scalp for the role. She recently revealed that the true diva on “Game of Thrones” was Tommen’s cat, Ser Pounce.

Jena Malone, who plays Johanna Mason, was a vision in red. The actress wore a bright Emanuel Ungaro gown with gold Charlotte Olympia pumps, and completed the look with a red lip.

Katniss’ younger sister, Primrose, is played by Willow Shields, who brought another pop of color to the stark white procession in a green floral Christian Siriano gown.

“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1” hits theaters on Nov. 21.
