Their relationship may be long gone, but Jennifer Lopez and Diddy still have lovely things to say about one another.

Well, it is Throwback Thursday, after all.

Earlier this week, the music mogul praised the “Booty”-jiggling songstress, whose prominent posterior was the only one in the game when the couple dated in the late 1990s and early 2000s. (Hear that, Kim Kardashian and Nicki Minaj?)

Lopez’s backside “is great. It’s a work of art. It’s something that will go down in history,” Diddy told “Access Hollywood” of the singer’s graphic music video featuring Iggy Azalea. “She will never give up. She’s a great friend of mine … that thing is just incredible.”

The Revolt TV heavyweight, 44, didn’t stop the praise there either.

“I am so lucky to have that great woman in my history. She is one of the greatest I’ve ever seen. Go girl!” said the rapper, whose real name is Sean Combs, adding that he and Lopez are “great as friends” and he’s “great as a fan” rather than a love interest.

When “Access Hollywood” asked Lopez about her thoughts on Diddy’s remarks on Wednesday, the 45-year-old also showered her former flame with affection, even referring to him by his throwback moniker “Puffy.”

“We spent three years of our lives together, you know, almost every single day,” she said. “Seeing him involved in Revolt and all the things that he’s done as a businessman and still being so true to his music and his art trying to uplift his community in his own way, and it’s the same thing that I try to do and I feel like I learned a lot from him coming up, watching him.”

Lopez added that Diddy gave her “so many cues” and taught her much too. (Fine, then, we won’t bring up that whole Versace dress situation.)

“I’ll always be grateful to him for that and I love that he can be so supportive of me so many years later and there’s still so much mutual respect, admiration and love there,” she said.

Hmm, that’s a different tune from the one she sang during her Big Boy interview earlier this year ...

Diddy is one of many of Lopez’s high-profile romances. The Puerto Rican-American singer has been married thrice, finalizing her years-long divorce from singer Marc Anthony only last June. She recently called it quits with her former dancer Casper Smart and was previously linked to “Gigli” costar Ben Affleck in a relationship that gave rise to the moniker “Bennifer” and the ensuing glut of celebrity nicknames.
