Jessica Simpson isn’t shy, shows off new blunt haircut
Jessica Simpson chops off her long blond locks, opting for a clavicle-length blunt cut.
Jessica Simpson just made a blunt change: She chopped off her long blond tresses.
The singer-turned-designer debuted her lighter blond "lob" -- that's long bob, for the uninitiated -- on Instagram on Saturday.
"short hair don't care..." she wrote, sharing a snapshot of the new sleek look. "Cut by my favorite @roqchop and blondie by the best of all time @ritahazan"
The 34-year-old mother of two later posted another selfie showing off her blunt cut and her husband, former NFL tight end Eric Johnson.
As she stated, the coif came by way of her stylist Roque Jimenez and colorist Rita Hazan.
"I went over to her house on Friday, before she went out to dinner with her kids," Jimenez told Us Weekly. "She wanted a change! She's been growing her hair out for a while now, but she wanted something that would be easier to style."
Jimenez also gushed about the look on Instagram, posting a pic of his client and thanking her for going under the sheers.
"I'm so glad you asked me take it shorter than I originally cut it," he wrote. "Yet another reason I adore u that KILLER STYLE!!!"
Hazan also took to Instagram to welcome Simpson's dramatic 'do: "Yasssssss beyond gorgeous! I'm obsessed!!"
Indeed, Simpson's tresses have been long for years and remained lengthy for her wedding to Johnson in July. The hair duo teamed up for the couple's big day and Simpson wore her mane in "a paler, more natural looking blond" that was five months in the making, Hazan told Us Weekly at the time.
