Sarah Jessica Parker gives Carrie shoe ‘Sex and the City’ treatment

Sarah Jessica Parker couldn’t help but wonder how her new shoes would look on Carrie Bradshaw’s doorstep.

The star of HBO’s “Sex and the City” recently launched her SJP collection line and paid a visit to the iconic brownstone where her well-heeled alter-ego once lived. That’s where she staged a photoshoot with several of her new Carrie kicks.

“It was take your @sjpcollection shoes to work day. #longdayforCarrie #whewwwwthosesteps #runninginheels #taxi!” the 49-year-old wrote, sharing several snapshots of the staircase setup on Instagram on Monday. Someone, presumably Parker, is gingerly placing a lavender version of the shoe on a step.

Imagine how the fictional, footwear-loving columnist would shriek with delight if she opened her door to that many new heels!

The Carrie T-strap pump hails from Parker’s namesake line and comes in a variety of colors, as seen in the pictures. It also retails for $355. Parker launched the collection in March with George Malkemus, chief exec of Manolo Blahnik (Carrie Bradshaw’s cobbler of choice).

“Carrie is obviously one of my favorite people, and this is an ode to her. It’s a strong shoe that can be worn for day and night,” reads a description of the shoe provided by Parker on the vendor’s website. “I love the way the strap dips down the front of the foot, accentuating the length of the leg and the delicacy of each strap. All of the details and the gorgeous grosgrain down the back combine to make it deserving of its namesake.”

No word yet on whether there will be Samanthas, Charlottes or Mirandas.

Another snapshot, posted on the brand’s Instagram page, featured a sign reading “Do NOT go on staircase please” complemented by an array of the pointed-toe pumps lined up in front of it.

The setup heightened interest in a potential third “Sex and the City” film, which “SATC2” actress Jennifer Hudson alluded to in an Oct. 2 interview. But it seems as if Parker’s dollhouse of shoes had nothing to do with another Cosmo-filled installment.

“Oh no. Eek. Sorry. No. I was just talking about the shoes,” Parker said on the photo with the sign. “Oh man. Geesh. Sorry. X Sj.”
