‘Breaking Dawn — Part 2’: 7 things we learned from the new trailer

Bella “was born to be a vampire.” Stewart quite literally vamps it up in the new teaser, getting gussied up in that gorgeous-vampire sort of makeup of the “Saga” and that bloodthirsty-red contact lens treatment. And yes, she kind of dazzles us too.

Lautner’s Jacob Black is eating his words about Bella’s transformation. “I didn’t expect you to seem so -- you?” Those hoping that Bella would shed the T-shirt, thermals and tousled hairdo will have to keep hoping.

Edward and Bella are the same temperature! That’s right, Bella doesn’t have to be coddled with a blanket anymore when she curls up next to Edward’s marble-like body. We learned that in the previous trailer, but it doesn’t seem to get old.

Renesmee! Edward’s and Bella’s half-human, half-vampire bundle of supernatural joy, played by Mackenzie Foy, “was born not bitten,” as Bella reminds us. Which leads us to ...

The Volturi are back again. The ancient vampire council dwelling in Italy are royally pissed about Renesmee’s existence, and they’re just about ready to scoop up the immortal hybrid love child so she doesn’t out their secret.

There’s going to be a showdown. At least it looks that way, with Bella running all “Snow White and the Huntsman”-like in the final scene of the trailer. In an effort to stop the Volturi, Edward rounds up as many international vampires as he can to tell them the truth about his baby and take down the Volturi. No thanks to Maggie Grace’s Irina.

This story isn’t as much about Edward and Bella anymore. It’s more about the scope of the supernatural world embedded in the human world. That’s right, this ain’t no Catherine Hardwicke emo love story. It’s about finding your place with the ones you love and being allowed that happiness. But don’t worry, there are still enough Edward-Jacob swoon-worthy moments to look forward to.
