Share

Tony Scott, who jumped to his death Sunday afternoon from L.A.’s Vincent Thomas Bridge, was known as one of Hollywood’s most kinetic action directors.

Scott’s body was pulled by divers in San Pedro, according to Los Angeles police. Witnesses told police that Scott scaled an 8- to 10-foot fence and jumped without any hesitation.

His visual style, filled with dynamic editing and energetic cinematography, was widely imitated but rarely matched.
