Pitbull readies ‘Global Warming’ for Nov. 19

Share

Get ready for another year of Pitbull being a mainstay on your radio.

The impeccably dressed pop-rap star is looking to continue his chart dominance with a new album stuffed with the fiery Europop/hip-hop party jams that made him an omnipresence on the airwaves last year.

The new set, “Global Warming,” is scheduled to hit stores Nov. 19 and will be released through RCA Records / Mr. 305 / Polo Grounds, his label announced on Tuesday.

Keeping with Pitbull’s goal of maximum international appeal, the album was recorded around the world -- likely in the exotic locales he name dropped in his 2011 hit “International Love.”

“Global Warming” will include his “Men in Black 3” contribution, “Back in Time” and the Shakira-assisted “Get It Started.” He will premiere the disc’s latest single, “Don’t Stop the Party,” on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” next week.

The disc is the follow-up to last year’s “Planet Pit,” which spawned smashes “Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor),” “Rain Over Me,” “International Love” and the inescapable, “Give Me Everything.”

“Planet Pit” sold more than 1.4 million albums and 18 million singles worldwide, according to Nielsen Soundscan.
