This year, the Recording Academy went country, staging its now-annual "The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! — Countdown to Music's Biggest Night" in Nashville. LL Cool J returned as host and was helped by country royalty Taylor Swift.

Indie-rock trio Fun. and R&B/hip-hop star Frank Ocean scored big in the nominations, scoring six nods apiece mostly in the top Grammy categories. The Recording Academy announced the nominations Wednesday during a show in Nashville. The 55th Grammy Awards take place Feb. 10 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.
