Cameo: Samuel L. Jackson
Funny or superfluous?: Funny
Not since Freddy Krueger's glove reached out of the ground and snagged Jason Voorhees' mask at the end of "Jason Goes to Hell" has a last-minute cameo stoked such burning fanboy desire. Jackson's post-end credits appearance as Nick Fury, agent of SHIELD, had movie fans swooning. His tantalizing promise of a larger Marvel Universe did more to turn "Iron Man" into a true comic book movie than millions of dollars of digital effects work.
