Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band are scheduled to play Los Angeles on Oct. 28 as part of their first full-scale U.S. and European tour in four years, starting Oct. 2 in Hartford, Conn., and running through Dec. 19 in London.

The U.S. leg of the tour, announced today, includes 18 dates in 16 cities. Gaps of two to six days between many of the stops suggest the possibility of additional shows if the initial performances sell out quickly.

The venue for the L.A. date was not announced Tuesday.

"Radio Nowhere," the first single from Springsteen's new album, "Magic," was posted today at iTunes exclusively and is available as a free download for the first week. The album is slated for release on Oct. 2.
