Looks like Netflix is soon to erase the memory of Ben Affleck's 2003 big screen bomb "Daredevil" with a TV version of the Marvel super hero. The powerhouse streaming service released the first images for it's upcoming series "Marvel's Daredevil" during New York Comic Con over the weekend.

In the photos we see British actor Charlie Cox as blinded attorney Matt Murdock (below) and his alter ego, Daredevil (above). The 13 episode series is executive produced by showrunner Steven S. DeKnight ("Spartacus," "Buffy: The Vampire Slayer," "Angel") and writer Drew Goddard ("Cabin in the Woods," "Lost," "Buffy The Vampire Slayer"), along with Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb ("Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," "Smallville," "Heroes").

According to Netflix, Matt Murdock was blinded as a boy but gained extraordinary senses. He now fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell's Kitchen, New York City.

The costume Cox wears as Daredevil looks a little like a tight Ninja outfit complete with combat boots and a bandanna that covers most of his face and head. It was inspired by the costume in "Daredevil: Man Without Fear," the comic series from Frank Miller and John Romita Jr., Netflix said in a release.

Joining Cox in the series are Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk. Additional cast members announced at NYCC were Ayelet Zurer as Vanessa Marianna, Vondie Curtis Hall as Ben Urich, Bob Gunton as Leland Owlsley and Toby Leonard Moore as Wesley.

"Marvel's Daredevil" will premiere on Netflix in 2015.
