Conan O’Brien goes gaga over Halle Berry

Conan O’Brien may not have much to talk to Jay Leno about these days, but the rival talk-show hosts do share at least one thing in common: They both go a little gaga in the presence of Halle Berry.

Leno couldn’t help ogling Berry when she stopped by “The Tonight Show” Monday night wearing a plunging black minidress. On Wednesday, it was O’Brien’s turn to lose his cool over the Oscar-winning beauty, meaning that, in one way at least, he’s still following Leno.

After a fun flashback to an appearance Berry made 20 years ago on a very early episode of O’Brien’s NBC talk show “Late Night,” wearing a hat that looked like it was borrowed from the “Blossom” wardrobe department, the conversation turned to her line of perfumes – specifically, how and where to apply them.

Not surprisingly, this is when O’Brien started to get a little hot under the collar.

Feigning ignorance, he asked Berry for some pointers in the delicate art of perfume-wearing. “Feel free to touch me anywhere you want,” he offered selflessly.

With a bottle of her most recent scent, Closer, in hand, Berry then ordered O’Brien to take his pants off.

As eager as he was to fulfill his “Catholic fantasy,” O’Brien kept his trousers on. Berry, however, seemed determined to torture her host.

“You’re supposed to spray it in between your thighs, and then it heats up and the aroma rises up all day long,” she helpfully explained, sending O’Brien into a state of delirium.

“Oh my God,” he replied, head in hand. “I just time-traveled while you were saying that.”

It’s OK, Conan. We’re guessing you’re not the only one.
