Jimmy Fallon and Tracy Morgan's 'Twas the Night Before Christmas'

Jimmy Fallon is really in the holiday spirit these days. On Tuesday he teamed up with the Roots and Mariah Carey on a classroom-instrument version of her hit “All I Want for Christmas is You.”

His latest seasonal offering is a reading of Clement C. Moore’s “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” Fallon was joined by “30 Rock” star Tracy Morgan, who predictably put an unconventional spin on the classic poem.

After Fallon read the opening couplet, Morgan had this to say: “I hate that mouse. Always hear him walkin’ around with his little nails scratching against my kitchen floor. I got brand new floors Jim. From France!”

Morgan was also irritated by St. Nick’s tardiness. “When’s that dude going to show up? I’ve been waiting all night for him. He’s late.”

As for kids with visions of sugar plums dancing in their heads, Morgan was dubious -- his three kids want video games, not candied fruit, he claimed. “By the way, I know a pimp named Sugar Plum,” he added.

The pattern continued until Morgan finally made Fallon crack, ever so slightly, with his assertion that “chimneys are like brick houses’ penises.”

If their reading doesn’t get you in the mood for Christmas, surely nothing will.
