Actor Dave Madden, best known as the grumpy band manager on the hit series “The Partridge Family,” died Thursday at age 82. To commemorate his career, especially his most high-profile role, Antenna TV, owned by the Tribune Company, which also owns The Times, will be airing a seven-hour marathon of “Partridge Family” episodes Saturday.

The marathon begins at 10 a.m. Pacific time and runs until 5 p.m.

Episodes to be aired will include the premiere episode, “They Shoot Managers, Don’t They?” in which Madden’s character gets married, the second-season premiere about the band performing with an 18-year-old singer who can’t hit a proper note and the episode where two of the band mates decide to run away to Madden’s character’s apartment.

The final episode to be aired, “Two for the Show,” shows Madden’s character, Reuben, managing his newest act, twins played by Andy Williams’ real life nephews, Andy and Dave Williams.

“The Partridge Family’s” original run was on ABC for four seasons, from 1970 to 1974.
