Bosnian Muslims: In the July 4 California section, an article about blond-haired Bosnian Muslims was accompanied by a photo of a woman with her daughter and two nieces at an iftar celebration in Irvine. The family is Bosnian but is not Muslim.

Elie Wiesel obituary: In some copies of the July 3 Section A, a photo caption with the obituary of Holocaust survivor and Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel misstated the year he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. It was 1986, not 1886.

Violent crime: In the July 2 California section, the caption for a photo with an article about a rise in violent crime in the state misidentified the UCLA professor killed in June as William King. His name was William Klug.

Ramadan: In the July 5 California section, a photo caption with an article about how Californians break the fast for Ramadan misspelled the last name of Silver Al Khafaji as Al Khafajia.
