Cleveland police: In the July 21 Section A, the caption for a photo with an article about protests at the Republican National Convention misidentified a law enforcement official as Cleveland Police Chief Calvin Williams. The official pictured was Deputy Police Chief Dornat Drummond.

Ethics penalty: In the July 12 California section, an article about a proposed $104,000 ethics penalty against Commerce City Councilwoman Tina Baca Del Rio said it would be the largest ever levied by the Fair Political Practices Commission against a local elected official. It would be the state watchdog agency’s largest such penalty against a local elected official who was still in office.
