How doctors are using a patient's own immune systems to combat cancer

A graphic to show how a type of immunotherapy called CAR T works. It involves taking a patient's T cells and using gene therapy to reprogram them so they do a better job of killing cancer cells. The reprogrammed cells are multiplied and then infused back into the patient.
