“It’s all been so new to me and being in the cycle of talking about the same movie as long as I have,” she said. “To find new meaning within this movie has been absolutely incredible.”

Larson is known to have done emotionally triggering roles. The reason? She respects people’s time.

“The idea of someone sitting in a theater is very sacred to me,” she said. “That’s how I learned about the world and different cultures, about being a woman. When I grew up, I realized that with movie making, we can trick people into believing what we want.

So she makes an effort to tell true stories to the best of her ability, she said.

And as far as celebrating with her co-star Jacob Tremblay: “I think we’re going to get a burger. Or cut a rug or something.”
