Video chat: Jason Segel on his role as David Foster Wallace in ‘End of the Tour’
As David Foster Wallace in “End of the Tour,” Jason Segel is bombarded with questions by an inquisitive journalist.
On Thursday, we’ll have the chance to lob questions of our own at the actor when he stops by the Los Angeles Times for a live video chat. At 12:30 p.m. PDT, Segel will be here to discuss his turn as the late writer — one of his first major dramatic performances.
The film follows Wallace on a book tour during which he’s interviewed by a Rolling Stone writer, played by Jesse Eisenberg. The movie’s strong reviews have almost unanimously singled out Segel’s performance, which is up for an Indie Spirit Award come February.

Segel, 35, is best known for his comedic work as a lovable manchild in films like “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” “I Love You, Man” and “The Five-Year Engagement.” In 2011, he rebooted “The Muppets” for the big screen with Walt Disney Pictures. He also starred on CBS’ “How I Met Your Mother” for nine seasons.
